I made this shop pen as a Christmas present. It’s intended to be effectively indestructible and easily serviceable. Most of the components were turned parts, but the bolt and slot were both milled. I single point threaded the external threads in the tip to ensure the fit was better than could be achieved with the dies I had on hand. The pocket clip is a large binder clip that I annealed, hand profiled and then quenched and tempered. I also heated the steel tip to give it a nice blue finished, before coating all the steel components with a thin machine oil to offer a tiny bit of rust prevention.

I turned down the outside of the pen down after everything was assembled to ensure you couldn’t feel the transition between parts when writing
